Top 5 Reasons Your Ideas are Still Sitting on Your Desk

You haven’t thought the idea through

So you have a list of  ‘ideas’ things that can possibly change the world but for some reason, you haven’t put pen to paper with the details of what it takes to launch your new idea. If you want to get the action rolling on your ideas, take the top three ideas that really get you going and start an action plan on each one. You might find that some ideas take more time than you thought!

It been done before

How many times have you thought of a rock star idea only to google it and find that it has been done before? Many of the world top brands were developed on an idea that has been done before. There is nothing wrong with doing something that has been done, the key is to add your own unique twist to the idea.  Start by making a list of what you can offer that is unique to the market and focus on making your idea stand out.

You have no team

So you have a great idea a plan and you’re ready to go but whats holding you back is that you have no team to execute your plan. Well, NEWS FLASH you are the team. In the beginning stages of getting your idea off of your desk, you will have to be ready to wear many hats, you will be the project manager, the marketing team, the salesperson, and the chief financial officer. If you stick to your goal and your passionate about your idea, people will be lining up to help you grow your vision

Your favorite show is on

Let’s be honest here, how many times have you looked at your great idea list, set it on the table and turned on the TV to tune into CSI Miami ( Raises hand). While there is certainly nothing wrong with catching up on your favorite shows, putting your new-found love for Game of Thrones in front of your brand new world-changing idea is probably not the most productive thing to do. Don’t ditch the remote just yet, try waking up an hour early to tend to your new idea or even setting up your DVR to record your favorite shows and having a girls night to catch up on all that you’ve missed. whatever you decide just know TV will be waiting long after your new idea is off the ground.

You are not a millionaire

I recently chatted with a CEO of a company that is set to hit 1 million dollars in sales before the end of the year. She reviled to me that when she started her business only two years ago she only had a couple hundred dollars in the bank. what does that mean? It means that when there is a will there is a way. Not every idea spawned from a person that had thousands or even hundreds of dollars to bring it to reality. If you have a vision and the persistent to see it though nothing will stop it from becoming a reality not even lack of funds.
